Delhi: 20-Year-Old Beaten To Death Over Rs 2,300, Two Juveniles Among Four Arrested

A man was beaten to death over a dispute involving Rs 2,300 in Delhi's Burari area, two men were arrested and two juveniles were apprehended.

A 20-year-old man succumbed to injuries on Thursday at the LNJP hospital after he was severely beaten by four individuals in Delhi's Burari. The police have arrested two men in the case. Two juveniles were apprehended by the police from Delhi's Burari area in connection with the case.

The victim, Priyanshu, was beaten over a dispute over Rs 2,300, according to the news agency PTI. He sustained critical injuries, and was admitted to LNJP hospital. However, he died during treatment. 

A police case was registered based on the statement of Priyanshu's friend Jaikishan alias Chintu.

While investigating, the police found that Priyanshu was beaten up by five or six people who were riding on two motorcycles on February 11 around 11:30 AM.

Jaikishan mentioned two names to the police, one was 22-year-old Rohit Gaur and the other was Ashish alias Anshu, with whom Priyanshu had a dispute over Rs 2,300. 

According to PTI, the police arrested both of these men and also apprehended two other juveniles who were also among the attackers. 

Victim Killed Over Alcohol

In another incident, three suspects were arrested after a 21-year-old was killed in a dispute over alcohol in Raj Park, Delhi, according to The Times Of India. According to the report, the victim was wrapped up in a blanket and dumped in a gutter after he was beaten up and fatally struck with a stone by a group of inebriated individuals. 

Man Stabbed To Death

In a similar incident, a 30-year-old man died during treatment, a day after he was allegedly stabbed by three people in outer Delhi, as per a PTI report. The police said that a juvenile has been apprehended in the case, while other accused will be nabbed soon.

Police identified the victim as Manoj, a resident of Sultanpuri area.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Jimmy Chiram told the news agency that the Raj Park police station received information at around 9:30 PM that a man was stabbed in the abdomen by two pedestrians in the Sultanpuri area. Police team reached the spot immediately where they found out that the victim was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. 

The officer said the team reached the hospital where Manoj was found under treatment for stab injuries on his chest and abdomen.

“Subsequently, a case of attempt to murder was registered and investigation was taken up,” the DCP said, as per PTI.

Police said that at 6:46 AM, an information was received from the hospital that the victim had died during the treatment, after which the police added a section of murder was added. The DCP told PTI, that a crime team reached the spot of the crime, where they recovered two knives. His father told police that while he was taking his son to the hospital for treatment, the victim’s friend told him that three or four people stabbed Manoj.
