Farmhouse Operator Killed Over Parking In Gurugram, 7 Injured

A farmhouse operator was killed and several others were injured after a brawl ensued over parking in Gurugram.

A man was killed after allegedly being beaten by some local youths in a row over car parking in Gurugram’s Baliawas village in Haryana on Saturday night. The deceased, named Praveen, was a farmhouse operator of Oasis Garden. Following the attack he was rushed to a hospital but died during treatment. About seven individuals were also injured in the chaotic attack, one of whom, Gajender, is under care at the ICU of AIIMS-Delhi and is critical, according to a PTI report.

The group of youths had come to the farmhouse to celebrate a birthday party, and got into a fight with some locals over parking.

At approximately 11:30 pm, a group of individuals arranged for a cab to transport them home. During this period, four youths, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, arrived at the farmhouse in a car from the nearby Bandhwari village. A confrontation ensued between the two groups, leading to a physical altercation.

Soon after over a dozen more youths reached the farm house, initially they beat up the youths in the parking lot and then entered the farmhouse with sticks and thrashed Praveen, the farmhouse operator. The farmhouse is run jointly by Naresh Kumar, Praveen Dhull, and Narveer Dagar, all residents of Ramrai village of Haryana's Jind district.

An FIR under charges of murder and attempt to murder was filed in the matter at DLF Phase I Police Station on the complaint of another farmhouse operator Naresh Kumar.
