Fresh Spell Of Rain In Delhi Brings Relief, Pulls Down Temperature To 28°Celsius
Rainfall in the national capital on Saturday triggered waterlogging in the Dwarka area. The temperature has been brought down to 28 degrees Celsius now which provides some relief to the citizens.
A fresh spell of rain brought some much-needed relief from the searing heat to the residents of Delhi-NCR. The latest shower pulled down the temperature to 28 degrees Celsius. The downpour, however, triggered waterlogging in the Dwarka area of Delhi. According to ANI, several areas, such as Kartavya Path and the Shastri Bhavan locality, also received rainfall early on Saturday.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light/moderate fairly widespread rainfall to widespread rainfall/thunderstorms and lightning with isolated heavy rainfall activity over Central India.
The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at around 37.4 degrees Celsius whereas the maximum temperature today according to IMD is expected to settle at 35 degrees Celsius only. The minimum temperature today is expected to settle at around 27 degrees Celsius.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) of the city was recorded in the 'Moderate' category with it standing at 70. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) on Thursday settled at 131, which falls in the moderate category. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
According to IMD, between August 19 and 23, the maximum temperature is expected to hover between 35 degree Celsius and 37 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in the national capital is expected to hover between 26 and 28 degree Celsius. During these days there is a possibility of drizzle and light rain over the national capital.
