Delhi Feels Tremors As 5.9 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Afghanistan

According to the National Center of Seismology, the epicentre was in Fayzabad, Afghanistan.
There has been no report of casualties or damage as of yet.
The earthquakes were "very strong" near the epicentre in the northern province of Badakhshan, and authorities were determining whether they had caused any damage or injuries, provincial official Mahzudden Ahmadi told news Reuters.
"It was too strong. In the beginning, we did not leave, but later when it got strong, we left (the room). It lasted about 30-40 seconds," Ashraf Nael, 28, from Faizabad city in Badakhshan said, as stated in the report.
A magnitude 6.1 earthquake wrecked devastation in eastern Afghanistan last year, killing nearly 1,000 people.
This is the second time in a week that the national capital felt tremors. On January 1, an earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale hit Delhi NCR in the early hours. According to the readings from the centre, the earthquake measured 3.8 and occurred in the North Northwest of Haryana's Jhajjar at 1:19 am. The depth of the earthquake was 5 km below the ground.

On November 12, earthquake tremors were felt throughout the Delhi-NCR region. The magnitude of the November 12 earthquake in Nepal was 5.4 on the Richter scale, according to the NCS, and it occurred at 7:57 p.m. "The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometres below ground," NCS stated.
