Delhi Weather: Rains Lash Parts of Capital, NCR Region, IMD Issues Alert

Several parts of the national capital received light rainfall on Wednesday. 

 New Delhi: Several parts of the national capital received light rainfall on Wednesday. The Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC) predicted a light to moderate intensity rain over and adjoining areas of Delhi and NCR.

"Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-40 Km/h would continue to occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi ( Tughlakabad, Ayanagar, Deramandi), NCR ( Noida, Greater Noida, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh)," RWFC wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) also predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate rain over and adjoining areas of Sohana, Palwal, Nuh, Aurangabad, Hodal (Haryana) Nandgaon (U.P.) Bhiwari, Tizara (Rajasthan). "Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR," IMD posted on X.
As per IMD's weather data, today's maximum temperature in Delhi is three notches above the season's normal and stands at 31 degrees Celsius. The national capital's minimum temperature is 14 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.

The highest temperature recorded in March 2023 was 33.9 degrees Celsius while in March 2022 it was 39.6 degrees Celsius.
