Delhi MCD Polls 2022: Shahdara Constituency Wards After Delimitation — Check Details

Delhi MCD Election 2022: Civic polls are scheduled in Delhi on December 4 to elect 250 councillors of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. Votes will be counted and results will be declared on December 7.

MCD Election 2022 Live: Delhi State Election Commissioner (SEC) Vijay Dev on November 4 announced dates for the long-due Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls. Delhi State Election Commission announced that voting for unified three municipal corporations - East Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation and North Delhi Municipal Corporation - into one MCD will be held on December 4. Counting of the votes will be held on December 7 and the results will be announced the same day.

Shahdara Assembly Constituency Wards*

In the Shahdara Delhi assembly constituency, there are a total of three wards to go under poll in the 2022 MCD election. The names of the three wards of the Shahdara assembly constituency are Shahdara, Jhilmil, and Dilshad Colony.

1. Shahdara: In the Shahdara Delhi assembly constituency, Shahdara is ward number two hundred-fifteen in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 69,110. The Shahdara (Ward 215) MCD seat is reserved for scheduled caste.

2. Jhilmil: In the Shahdara Delhi assembly constituency, Jhilmil is ward number two hundred-sixteen in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 68,555. The Jhilmil (Ward 216) MCD seat is unreserved.

3. Dilshad Colony: In the Shahdara Delhi assembly constituency, Dilshad Colony is ward number two hundred-seventeen in the Delhi Civic Polls 2022 and has a total population of 76,598. The Dilshad Colony (Ward 217) MCD seat is reserved for women.
