CM Kejriwal, Delhi BJP Announce Financial Aid To People Affected In Alipur Fire Incident

The fire accident took place on Thursday evening, claiming the lives of 11 individuals at a paint factory housing chemical warehouses in Alipur in outer Delhi.

New Delhi: A delegation of the Delhi BJP led by party chief Virendra Sachdeva on Friday met those affected by the fire incident in Alipur and offered support and financial aid, news agency PTI reported. Sachdeva also announced Rs 50,000 aid for the funeral expenses of each deceased individual and Rs 25,000 for the medical treatment of the injured, a statement issued by BJP's Delhi unit said.

The fire accident took place on Thursday evening, claiming the lives of 11 individuals at a paint factory housing chemical warehouses in Alipur in outer Delhi. The fire spread to nearby structures, including a drug rehabilitation centre and eight shops. Currently, four injured people are receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

According to the PTI report, the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) received a call about the incident at 5:25 pm and soon after, 22 fir tenders were pressed into service. Police said the fire was preceded by a blast, probably caused by chemicals kept in the factory. The fire was brought under control around 9pm.
