Delhi BJP Demands Saurabh Bharadwaj's Arrest Over Administration Of 'Fake Medicines' At Govt Hospitals

MCD Leader of Opposition Raja Iqbal said that the Opposition is demanding the arrest of Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj.

New Delhi: Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) witnessed a ruckus on Thursday after Bharatiya Janata Party councillors staged a protest inside the house shouting slogans. MCD Leader of Opposition Raja Iqbal said that fake medicines are being given in Delhi government hospitals. He further said that the Opposition is demanding the arrest of Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj.

"We were not told why the House was called today... fake medicines are being given in Delhi government hospitals. We demand that Saurabh Bhardwaj be arrested", says Raja Iqbal Singh, MCD Leader of Opposition.

On the protest by BJP councillors, Shelly Oberoi said, " If they want to raise questions, they can but standing on top of the table, showing banners, it looks like they're doing their promotion there. I can only hear their opinions and inputs when we start the discussion but they start ruckus the moment I sit on the chair. It is all preplanned...LoP Raja Iqbal Singh, Yogendra Verma, Gajendra Singh and Ravi Negi, these four members have been suspended from the House, they always create ruckus inside the House and provoke other members also," as quoted by ANI.

Four MCD Members Suspended

Shelly Oberoi slammed LoP Raja Iqbal Singh and said that he starts creating ruckus even before the session starts and provokes his councillors to create ruckus inside the House. She further said that four members have been suspended from the House after several warnings.

"MCD LoP Raja Iqbal Singh since 2-3 sessions, starts creating ruckus even before the session starts and provokes his councillors to create ruckus inside the House...they don't want discussions on the issues of people of Delhi and they raise such issues that have nothing to do with MCD...today, LoP Raja Iqbal Singh, Yogendra Verma, Gajendra Singh and Ravi Negi, these four members have been suspended from the House, they were given warnings several times earlier also," Oberoi said.
