'Those Who Opposed Burqa...': Khan Sir Trolled Over Wife's 'Ghungat' At Wedding Reception

Khan sir hosted his wedding reception on June 2, which was attended by many prominent personalities, including former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav and singer Deepak Thakur.

Khan Sir Faces Netizens' Wrath

With his wedding, Khan Sir has also become a target of online trolls. His wife was seen wearing a veil at the wedding reception, sparking the controversy. Citing the image, people questioned his commitment to liberal values, which he preaches. 

Activist Deepika Narayan Bharadwaj said: "Everyone saw Khan Sir. No one saw Khan Sir's wife. No matter how progressive... The less said, the better!"

One user wrote, "After removing the veil from all evils, his own wife has become a victim of the veil tradition. There's a difference between preaching and practising." Another user commented that in the 21st century, Khan Sir isn't letting his wife show her face. 

Yet another pointed out that Khan Sir, in the past, had opposed the burqa tradition, but now appeared to promote the veil for his wife. "Khan Sir, who opposed the veil and burqa all his life, is behaving this way with his own wife," he wrote.
