'Why Are You Quiet?': AAP Accuses BJP Of Receiving Rs 60 Cr Donation From Excise Policy Case 'Kingpin'

Addressing a press conference, Bharadwaj flagged "three questions", urging the BJP to speak up on the "money trail" allegations of the Delhi-ruling party in a Saturday press conference.

Delhi minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday accused the BJP of accepting approximately Rs 60 crore in donations from Sharat Chandra Reddy, a "kingpin" in the excise policy case.

Addressing a press conference, Bharadwaj flagged "three questions", urging the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to speak up on the "money trail" allegations of the Delhi-ruling party in a Saturday press conference.

Bharadwaj said, "The BJP stole nearly Rs 60 crores from Sharad Chandra Reddy, the most powerful figure in the so-called Excise Policy case, using electoral bonds as cover. This is not an accusation; it is a fact, and we have provided evidence... After Sharad Chandra Reddy was arrested, the BJP accepted a donation worth Rs 55 crores... ED and the central government have stated that he is accused under the PMLA".

The Delhi Minister asked the BJP to answer three questions:

1) Why are senior BJP leaders, who are holding press conferences daily over Delhi CM's arrest, quiet on the "money trail" linked with the accused in the excise policy? How does the BJP know money launderer Sharath Chandra Reddy? Which BJP minister or leader met him?

2) Why did the BJP take 60 Crore from Sharath Chandra Reddy?

3) Why did the BJP hide this from CBI-ED and the country?

AAP leaders, including Delhi minister Atishi, alleged on Saturday that one of the prime witnesses in the excise case gave Rs 55 crore to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through electoral bonds. They also demanded the arrest of BJP national president JP Nadda in this regard.

During the press conference, AAP leaders presented electoral data documents that included the purchaser's name, bond denominations, date of purchase, and other details. They claimed that Reddy's three companies transferred nearly Rs 60 crore to the BJP accounts.
