Delhi News: Two men, identified as Sonu and Ashish were shot dead inside a salon in the Najafgarh area of southwest Delhi. A purported CCTV footage of the incident circulated on social media.

Two men, identified as Sonu and Ashish, both in their early 30s, were shot dead inside a salon in the Najafgarh area of southwest Delhi, according to the police report on Friday. The incident, which occurred in front of other customers and salon workers, has stirred panic in the locality. According to police officials, Sonu sustained a single gunshot wound to the head, while Ashish was shot three times in the head and once in the chest, news agency PTI reported.

A purported CCTV footage of the incident circulated on social media, capturing one of the victims pleading with the attackers moments before being shot at point-blank range.

"Preliminary investigations suggest personal enmity as a possible motive, although the involvement of gang warfare has not been ruled out," stated a police officer, according to PTI. The assailants fled the scene immediately following the attack.

In response to the alarming incident, authorities promptly initiated measures to track down the perpetrators. "Three police teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the suspects," the police confirmed.

It was disclosed by the police that Ashish had a history of involvement in two criminal cases. Both victims hailed from Nagli Sakrawati in the Najafgarh area, according to police sources.

DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh confirmed the incident, stating that the police initially received a PCR call from the Najafgarh police station reporting a shooting near pillar number 80. Subsequently, they received another call informing them of the deaths of two individuals, Sonu and Ashish, at a hospital in the Mohan Garden area due to gunshot injuries.
