Aftab Casually Told Me He Killed Shraddha, It Was Exactly What She Wrote In Letter: Father Vikas Walkar | Exclusive

Mehrauli Killing Case: Shraddha's father Vikas Walkar told ABP News that Aftab misled her daughter and did not let her reach to the family.

New Delhi: Shraddha Walkar’s father Vikas on Saturday said that Aftab casually told him that he killed Shraddha, and it was exactly in the manner she had mentioned in her police complaint.

Talking exclusively to ABP News, Vikas Walkar said, “He told me very casually, in a normal manner that ‘she is no more’ and admitted that he killed her.”

Vikas Walkar said that he was so shocked hearing this that he could not ask anything else of him. He said, “He (Aftab) did exactly what Shraddha wrote in the letter.”

He said that he had no idea that Shraddha was going through so much pain. “I had no idea about the pain Shraddha was going through, he seemed like a normal person...never imagined he would do something like this.”

Meeting With Aftab

Informing about his meeting with Aftab, he said that he once met him in Vasai when he went to file a missing complaint about Shraddha. “I asked where she was. He (Aftab) said that she left him already and went alone somewhere,” the father added.

Vikas Walkar further mentioned he confronted Aftab when Shraddha went missing and told him that she was his responsibility. He said that Aftab kept saying she left him already.

He said that he again met Aftab in Delhi when the latter was in jail, and it is then he admitted killing Shraddha. Vikas Walkar said that Aftab accepted having committed the crime in front of him and the police.

Information About Daughter

On the issue of being in touch with his daughter, he said, “We last talked in September 2021, she did not come back during the pandemic. I believe Aftab was blackmailing her and did not let her reach out to us this whole time.”

He said that he and Shraddha stayed together for 12-13 days when her mother died in January 2020. “She did not talk to me, and I was also in a state of shock due to the loss (wife’s death) that I also did not ask her much about Aftab,” he added.

He said that Aftab was misleading her.

Asked if Shraddha or Aftab ever approached him for money, he said that none of them approached him for money, though, he said that Shraddha used to have property discussions with her mother about how much property they have.

Shraddha-Aftab Relationship

Talking in detail about the relationship between Shraddha and Aftab, Vikas Walkar said that his daughter was desperate to marry Aftab.

“Aftab never came forward to marry her, but my daughter was desperate to marry him. She said she wanted to live with him only,” he said.

He admitted never meeting with Aftab’s parents or any family member. He said, “Aftab’s family never talked to me.”

He added, “Shraddha had always been a very sharp student..she was working in a call centre and her life was totally normal. But she changed after befriending Aftab.”

Missing Complaint About Shraddha

Vikas Walkar said that he was contacted by his son, who was alerted by Shraddha’s friend Lakshman that she has gone incommunicado for a few months. He said that after he received the information in September this year, he reached out to Mumbai police. He alleged that police took time in registering the report.

He said, “I had no knowledge that she even moved out of Mumbai and settled in Delhi.”

On Investigation

Shraddha’s father told ABP News that nothing has come out from the Polygraph test so far and he doesn’t expect anything from the Narco analysis too.

“I believe I will have to ask for the CBI investigation in the case,” he said.

Talking about the case he said that Aftab had planned everything long before and that’s why he took Shraddha to Delhi.

He said, “Aftab cannot do this all alone, he has had help in the entire case.”

Vikas Walkar said that he wants strict punishment for Aftab. “He should be given stricter punishment than the death sentence,” he added.
