Maha Kumbh Stampede: A video has surfaced on social media that shows a police officer making an announcement moments before a stampede at Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on Wednesday.
The video shows the officer appealing to the pilgrims to quickly take ritual baths at the Sangam. "All devotees listen carefully...sleeping here will not benefit you. Uthiye uthiye, take a dip. It is for your security because many people are expected to come and there is a possibility of a stampede. You should get the 'amrit' first since you have come first," he said in a speaker.
