Viral Video: Mumbai Couple Deny Pizza Payment After Delivery Agent Fails To Speak Marathi

A Mumbai couple refused to pay for their pizza, demanding the delivery boy speak Marathi.

A video has gone viral on social media of a couple reportedly from Mumbai who refused to pay the bill for their pizza as the delivery boy didn’t know Marathi. According to media reports, the incident took place on Monday when the delivery agent arrived at the residence of the couple only to be told that the pizza would be paid for "only if he spoke in Marathi".

With the couple safely inside a locked grill door, the woman in the video could be heard saying, "We'll take the order and pay only if you speak in Marathi." Ironically, the entire conversation that was caught on video and the exchange of words – everything was in Hindi.

The delivery boy could be heard responding, "If I don’t know Marathi, why force me to speak it?" To which the woman retorted, "This is how it is here."

The delivery boy then replied, "If that was your condition, you shouldn’t have placed the order. If you don’t want to pay, fine." He then asked whether there was any issue with the pizza itself: "If there’s a problem with the order, show it."

The pizza delivery boy recorded the entire scene on his mobile phone, and it has ever since gone viral on social media platforms. The exchange of words between the two ended with no payment from the customer to the delivery boy. However, the pizza delivery boy took the recorded video back home that has gone viral on social media.

The delivery boy reportedly worked at Domino's, and the company is yet to give out any statement in the matter.
