UP Wakes Up To A Rainy Monday, IMD Forecasts Rain For Entire Week

Monsoon's arrival in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in western districts like Noida, brought relief from the heat with rainfall. The IMD forecasts continued rain.

The monsoon has become active across Uttar Pradesh as several districts in western UP, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Hapur, received rainfall. The showers have brought much-needed relief from intense heat and humidity.

Rain Forecast for Entire Week; Lightning Warnings Issued

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall is expected to continue throughout the week. Many areas in western Uttar Pradesh are likely to witness moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning. A heavy rain alert has been issued for districts such as Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Bijnor, and Baghpat. IMD has also warned of lightning strikes in isolated places.

Rainfall has caused a noticeable dip in both maximum and minimum temperatures, making the weather more pleasant. No significant change in temperatures is expected over the next five days.

Most parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh are expected to remain dry, though Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Kaushambi, Lucknow, Barabanki, and Gonda may experience light rainfall at isolated places. There is no weather alert issued for most eastern districts.

IMD Forecast In UP

The IMD has predicted that such weather conditions will continue until July 12. People are advised to remain cautious, especially in districts where lightning warnings have been issued, and avoid open areas during thunderstorms.
