UP Wedding Dream Turns To Lock-Up Reality For Burglar! UP Thief Arrested In Mumbai
To fund his wedding, a man who stole from multiple houses in Mumbai got caught in Thane. The police recovered gold and silver worth lakhs from him.

In an attempt to collect funds for his wedding, a man robbed several houses in the Mulund area of Mumbai in Maharashtra. However, before he could escape, the police caught the accused.
According to the complaint, the accused had specifically targeted a residential building named Marathon Eminence in the Mulund area. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case and launched an investigation. Their efforts led them to Thane, where the accused was traced to a rented room and subsequently arrested. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Rajbhar, 32, who hails from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
The accused was involved in a series of burglaries across multiple areas —Chembur, Mulund, Bhandup, and Ulwe— where he broke locks of closed houses and stole valuables.
After stealing, he reportedly would lay low, wait for the right moment to hide the stolen items. However, acting on a tip-off, the police tracked him down and arrested him before he could sell or hide the stolen goods.
Following his arrest, police recovered 326 grams (approx) of gold, valued at approximately Rs 14 lakh, and 2 kilograms of silver jewellery, estimated to be worth Rs 1.5 lakh, from the accused.

According to the police, Rajbhar’s upcoming marriage was the primary motive behind the burglary—he needed a substantial amount of money for the expenses.
He had previously committed multiple thefts to gather funds, but this time, he aimed higher, planning to loot several houses to accumulate a large sum quickly. While executing his plan and staying in a chawl in Thane, he was traced and arrested by the police before he could sell the stolen valuables.
A police officer said that the accused had been using a well-planned modus operandi — he would fly into Mumbai, commit the theft the same day, and fly back immediately. However, this time, as he was trying to sell the stolen jewellery and was about to book a flight ticket to escape to his village, the police nabbed him just in time.
