Simran Singh, Instagram Influencer And Popular RJ, Found Dead In Gurugram Apartment, Suicide Suspected

The RJ from Jammu and Kashmir was found dead at her Sector 47 flat in Gurugram. The police are investigating the matter.

A famous Instagram influencer and Radio Jockey Simran Singh was found dead in her apartment in Gurugram on Wednesday night. According to the police, it is suspected to be a case of suicide.

The 25-year-old RJ from Jammu and Kashmir was found dead at her rented flat in Sector 47, Gurugram. According to police, Simran lived on rent with other friends in house number 58 of Sector 47 for the last several months. 

SHO of Sadar police station, Sunil Kumar, said that received information at around 9:30 PM on Wednesday. One of Simran's friend who was staying in the same house called the police.

When the team reached the spot, Simran's room was found locked from inside and the police had to break open the room. The RJ was found hanging inside. She was taken to Park Hospital, but was declared dead by the doctors. 

Police did not find any suicide note from the RJ's flat and her family has not filed any complaint against anyone.

According to Investigating officer, ASI Pradeep Kumar, Sadar Police Station, Gurugram, the family said that Simran had been facing problems for some time due to which she possibly took this step. They did not hold anybody responsible for their daughter's death.

Her body has been handed over to her family after post-mortem was done on Thursday morning. No case has been registered in connection with the matter, ASI Kumar told news agency ANI.

A report by PTI said that the woman allegedly died by hanging herself in her rented house. "Her body was found hanging in her room on Wednesday night," the police said, adding "no suicide note was found from the spot".

The RJ was known by her fans and followers as "Jammu Ki Dhadkan (Heartbeat of Jammu)". She last posted a reel on her account  on December 13. It was captioned, "Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach." Simran Singh had over six lakh followers on Instagram.
