'Barely Spoke, Drank 2 Bottles Daily': Cab Driver Recounts Muskan, Sahil's Himachal Tour

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, who killed Muskan's husband, went on a 15-day trip to Himachal after the murder. They barely spoke to each other and drank two bottles of liquor daily.

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla barely spoke to each other while on their trip to Himachal after killing Muskan's husband Saurabh Rajput and dismembering his body before cementing the corpse in a drum in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut.

They would drink two bottles of liquor daily and visited a gurudwara during their 15-day trip on March 4, shortly after killing Rajput, an ex-merchant Navy officer.

"I did not know about the murder. The cab, a Swift Dzire, was booked on the morning of March 4. I reached the given address in the evening to pick up the two people for the 15-day tour," Ajab Singh, the driver told NDTV.

"They ate food but barely spoke on the way. The woman would always get down from the car each time her mother called," he added.

Bought Birthday Cake, Visited Gurudwara

During their stay in Shimla, Muskan asked the cab driver through an audio message to arrange a cake for Sahil claiming it was his birthday. She told me to keep the packet in her room and asked me to say that it belonged to me and that I would take it the next morning. She also told me not to call but to text her in case I managed to buy the cake," he said.

The accused duo also visited a gurudwara in Shimla, Singh said and showed a receipt of the parking fee. He further said that the vehicle was refuelled on March 7. A total of Rs 54,000 was paid to the driver for the entire trip.

During the trip, Sahil would drink at least two bottles of alcohol every day, Singh said. "They used to regularly buy alcohol. I did not know the woman also used to drink till I saw her buy and consume alcohol when we were returning to Meerut," he said.
