Day After Vandalism At Agra Home, SP MP Ramji Lal Says 'Won't Apologise For Remarks On Rana Sanga'
His remarks on Rana Sanga come with violence, allegedly linked to Karni Sena, vandalised Suman’s residence near Hari Parvat Chauraha, damaging parked vehicles and shattering glass windows.

In response to the backlash for the remarks on Rajput ruler Rana Sanga, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Ramji Lal Suman stands firm on his statements, saying "there is nothing to apologise for."
As per the PTI report, Suman asked people to develop a habit of listeningright things and declared that "I will not apologise in this life." In a video, Suman labeled Rana Sanga as a "traitor" who invited Mughal emperor Babur to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
"It is a historical fact that Rana Sanga brought Babur to defeat Ibrahim Lodhi. They had an understanding that Babur would attack Ibrahim Lodhi, and Rana Sanga would attack Agra. Rana Sanga did not keep his part of the deal," He said in his Defending remarks.
"Later, Babur and Rana Sanga fought against each other in Fatehpur Sikri, and Rana Sanga fought with great bravery but lost the battle. This is a fact," he added.
He supported his claim by citing historical sources, including "Baburnama" and Jawaharlal Nehru’s "Discovery of India." "There is a big historian Puniyani, Baburnama, and as far as I remember, Jawaharlal Nehru has mentioned it in Discovery of India too... As I said, this is historic and I am ready to confirm it," he told news agency PTI.
Karni Sena Vandalised Suman’s Residence
Following his remarks, violence broke out as a mob, allegedly linked to Karni Sena, vandalised Suman’s residence near Hari Parvat Chauraha, damaging parked vehicles and shattering glass windows.
In response, Agra police registered an FIR against an "unidentified mob" on charges including rioting, attempted murder, house trespass, and robbery, according to ANI.
SP leader Ramgopal Yadav, who visited Suman, claimed the attack was premeditated and accused the administration of failing to act despite prior warnings. "The attackers came with bulldozers, sticks, and swords, yet they were not stopped. This suggests they had government backing," Yadav alleged.
Following the vandalism and stone pelting outside his residence in Agra, Ramji Lal Suman told news agency ANI, "Since 22 March, they (attackers) were making statements expressing their intention and had already declared on social media that they would try to break into my house and fatally attack me. They brought bulldozers within 6 kilometres of my house... This was a well-thought-out conspiracy. Yesterday, the UP CM was also in Agra. If a parliamentarian is not safe in Uttar Pradesh, then who else can be?... My statement was the bitter truth."
