Saif Ali Khan Attack Case: The RPF arrested a suspect in Chhattisgarh. The suspect, who resembles the individual seen in CCTV footage, was traveling by train when apprehended.

Saif Ali Khan Attack Case: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested a suspect on Saturday from Chhattisgarh amid the investigation into the stabbing of actor Saif Ali Khan, which occurred on January 16. Sources revealed that the suspect was travelling by train when the police received information that he was aboard a Mumbai-Howrah express train.
Acting on this tip-off, the RPF apprehended the individual as he alighted from the train. The detained passenger is said to resemble the suspect wanted in the Saif Ali Khan attack case, and the police are currently investigating further. However, as of now, no concrete evidence linking him to the crime has been found.
"We got a call from the Mumbai Police in the afternoon today and also received a photograph of the suspect. He was travelling by Jnaneshwari Express, and we were asked to detain him. We checked the train and found him in one of the coaches, following which we detained him," Sanjeev Sinha, Traffic Inspector, Railway Protection Force told news agency PTI.

Authorities have confirmed that Mumbai Police will interrogate the suspect to determine his role in the attack. So far, police have questioned approximately 50 individuals, with 35 teams working to nab the assailant.
According to sources, the police have also identified an individual who resembles the person seen in CCTV footage at the scene of the crime. However, the police have yet to officially confirm this individual’s involvement in the attack.

The suspect was reportedly caught by locals in Mumbai's eastern suburbs on December 11 after committing a similar crime. Authorities initially released him, thinking he was mentally ill, instead of handing him over to the police.
It has also been reported that after his arrest, the suspect claimed to be a delivery boy. The police are now investigating his criminal history in light of this new information.

Mumbai Police Collect CCTV Footage From Dadar Shop In Saif Ali Khan Attack Investigation
Mumbai Police Crime Branch officials have collected CCTV footage from a mobile shop in Dadar, where the alleged suspect was seen purchasing earphones shortly after allegedly stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan at his apartment, news agency PTI reported.
The suspect had visited the Iqra mobile shop and bought a pair of earphones for Rs 50, paying with a Rs 100 note. Shop assistant Hasan recalled the transaction, stating, "He visited my shop and purchased an earphone for Rs 50. He gave me Rs 100, I returned him Rs 50 and he left the shop. Some police officials came to the shop yesterday (Friday) and took away the CCTV footage. They enquired about the person (suspect). I wasn't aware of what he had done."
The 54-year-old actor was brutally attacked in his Bandra home on Thursday morning, sustaining multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his neck and near his spine. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
"My boy who works here told me that he gave earphones to him (the alleged suspect). Later, some police officials came and took the CCTV footage yesterday," Shakir, the shop's owner, added, as per PTI.
