Fresh Report In RG Kar Doctor Murder Case Raises Questions About 'Scene Of Crime'

A new forensic report on the RG Kar doctor murder case suggests the crime may have occurred elsewhere and the body moved to the seminar hall.

There seems to be no end to the twists and turns in the RG Kar doctor murder case. A fresh report by the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) has now raised more questions than answers. While the body of the woman junior doctor was found in the fourth-floor seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital building, the fresh report suggests that the crime might have been committed somewhere else and the body brought to the spot later.

The signs of the crime seemed to have 'disappeared' from the scene.

The RG Kar case refers to the murder and alleged rape of a woman junior doctor on the RG Kar Medical College & Hospital premises on August 9.

No Sign Of Struggle

The report suggests that there was no sign of any struggle in the seminar room, currently perceived as the "scene of crime". There are several points that do not add up to the initial claims and counter claims.

The absence of a struggle at the 'scene of crime' indicates that the murder might have been committed elsewhere and the body of the junior doctor being brought to the seminar room later.

What Does The CFSL Report On RG Kar Murder Mean?

If the murder was indeed committed elsewhere, this might have led the law enforcement agencies to focus their attention on the seminar room. This could have given the criminals time to wipe out any evidence and could now be a major obstacle in the investigation.

This also means that the murder could have been a conspiracy and not a 'heat of the moment' crime. So far, only one accused, Sanjoy Roy, has been arrested in the RG Kar doctor murder case.

The case sparked nationwide protests, with the medical fraternity asking for "justice". The protests are still on in Kolkata.
