Jammu and Kashmir Police have intensified their search for three Pakistani terrorists responsible for the brutal killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. Despite ongoing efforts, the suspects remain at large, prompting authorities to ramp up their efforts to capture them.
As part of this, "Posters have appeared in various parts of Shopian district announcing a ₹20 lakh reward for anyone who provides information about those involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. Authorities have assured that the informant’s identity will be kept confidential," IANS posted on X.
The posters, prominently displayed in southern Kashmir, feature the images of three heavily armed terrorists, along with two contact numbers for providing information. The upper section of the poster displays the terrorists holding guns, while the lower part carries a heart-wrenching image of grieving families, emphasizing the human cost of the violence.

The message on the posters is clear and resolute: "There is no place in this country for those who murder innocents. Kashmir stands united against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism."
The attack, which took place in the scenic Baisaran area of Pahalgam in Anantnag district, sparked widespread outrage across the nation. The case has been registered under FIR No. 25/2025 at P.S. Pahalgam, Anantnag.
In response to the attack, India launched 'Operation Sindoor' on May 7, 2025, targeting and reportedly destroying nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan.
Authorities have reiterated that any information provided will be kept strictly confidential, encouraging the public to come forward to help swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice.
Schools in Non-Border Districts of Jammu and Kashmir Reopen
Schools in the non-border districts of Jammu and Kashmir have resumed in-person classes, signaling a cautious return to normalcy after a period of heightened tension between India and Pakistan. According to reports from ANI, this decision was made by the Divisional Commissioner of Jammu, who authorized the reopening of educational institutions in non-border areas, while schools in the more sensitive border districts remain closed as a precautionary measure.
