Noida: Scooty-Riding Girl Lands On Elevated Road Pillar After Being Hit By Car, Rescued

A girl riding a scooty landed on an elevated road pillar's base after being hit by a car from behind in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The car has been impounded by the police.

A rescue team from the fire and police department brought the girl down safely from the elevated road pillar base where she was trapped after being hit by a car.

Noida: A girl riding on a scooty landed on an elevated road pillar's base after being hit by a car from behind. The incident took place on Saturday, September 21, near Noida Sector 25 under the Sector 20 police station area when the girl was travelling from Noida towards Ghaziabad. She has now been rescued. Two other men who were attempting to rescue her from the pillar base have been rescued. 

They have been sent to a hospital for treatment. The car involved in the accident has been impounded by the police.

Janarul, one of the two men who attempted to rescue the girl, said that he saw the girl falling and rushed to her rescue. "Police saved us, they called an ambulance," he said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Manish Kumar Mishra told news agency ANI: "A girl was going from Noida towards Ghaziabad, her scooty met with an accident and she landed on the elevated road pillar's base. Police reached the spot immediately upon receiving the information. Rescue team of Police and Fire reached here, the girl was rescued safely. She was sent to hospital in an ambulance. Two men who were there to rescue here were also helped down and sent to hospital."

He further said that the car that hit he girl's scooty was a WagonR, which has now been impounded by the police. "We will ask the girl a few questions about the incident and take further action," the ADCP added.
