New Tiles Uncover Man's Murder In Maharashtra, His Wife On The Run With Lover
The man's brothers began searching for him after repeated calls went unanswered since July 10. Upon visiting his home, they were told by Chaman Devi that he had gone out for work.

A gruesome murder was uncovered in Maharashtra’s Palghar district after freshly laid floor tiles in a house aroused suspicion, leading to the discovery of a decomposed body buried beneath. Police have identified the deceased as Vijay Chouhan, 34, a resident of Gangnipada in Nallasopara.
The shocking revelation has prompted authorities to launch a manhunt for Chouhan’s wife, Chaman Devi (28), and her alleged lover, Monu Sharma (20), who is said to be the couple’s neighbour. Both are absconding.
Man's Brothers Searched For Him After Calls Unanswered
According to officials at the Pelhar police station, Chouhan's brothers began searching for him after repeated calls went unanswered since July 10. Upon visiting his home, they were told by Chaman Devi that he had gone out for work. However, further attempts to contact her also failed.
When the brothers returned to the house on July 19 and noticed new flooring, they removed some of the tiles, only to be met with a strong stench. Authorities were alerted, and the body was exhumed in the presence of forensic experts and local officials.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the postmortem is underway at JJ Hospital in Mumbai. Police suspect another local may have been involved in the crime.
