Mumbai News: A major road accident occurred in Kurla when a BEST bus collided with several vehicles on S G Barve Marg on Monday. Three people died while 20 were injured as the bus crushed several vehicles and people on the road, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed, as per news agency ANI.

The incident occurred when an intracity bus from Kurla to Andheri collided with several vehicles and people on S G Barve Marg, opposite L Ward, near Anjum-E-Islam School, as reported by news agency IANS.

CCTV footage showed the chaos that ensued. The video captured the bus's front dragging along the road, with a stampede-like situation breaking out after the incident.

Immediately following the accident at 9:50 PM, the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) declared the situation a Level 1 (L-I) emergency. The Mumbai Police arrived at the scene to manage the chaos and assist in the rescue efforts. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Delhi: 3 Dead As Speeding Truck Collides With Bus

In a separate incident, a speeding truck collided with a bus in Delhi, resulting in the loss of three lives. Two women, aged 19 and 50, and a man, aged 19, were killed in a road accident in the Vasant Kunj area of southwest Delhi, police informed on Monday, as per news agency PTI. Another person sustained injuries in the collision.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:45 am when a speeding truck allegedly collided with a bus near the Lohmod Hotel. The police received a call from the Vasant Kunj North police station and promptly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of the three victims at the accident site. One person was found trapped in the driver’s seat of the truck. The deceased individuals were identified as Abhishek (19), Nidhi (19), and Kanta Devi (50).

The driver of the truck was identified as Taufiq (25), a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan. Investigations revealed that the victims were unloading their luggage from the bus’s luggage compartment when the truck struck them.

The crime team thoroughly inspected the accident scene and promptly transported the bodies to Safdarjung Hospital for further medical attention. Taufiq is also currently being treated at the hospital.

In response to the incident, a case has been registered, and an ongoing investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
