Mumbai Crime News: A minor boy hacked a man to death with a sword in the Govandi-Shivaji Nagar area of Mumbai, Maharashtra. A video of the shocking incident, which occurred last week, has now gone viral. The deceased has been identified as Ahmed Pathan.
The Shivaji Nagar Police has registered a case against 5 people, out of which four have been arrested so far. Among the arrested is a woman. The incident took place on August 8, said the Shivaji Nagar Police.
The video of the gruesome murder shows the 17-year-old boy repeatedly hacking at the man's head and neck even as he lay in a pool of blood. He kept attacking Ahmed till he could be sure of his death. The video also shows the boy threatening to slash bystanders if they came to the man's aid.

According to an India Today report, a group of 3-4 people accosted Pathan in Shivaji Nagar on August 8. They got into an argument and the boy suddenly began attacking Pathan. The report quoted the police as saying that the duo were acquainted with each other. They had an argument even two weeks ago. Multiple criminal cases were pending against Pathan, the report stated.

An AAP leader, speaking on the incident, said that the attacker was a drug smuggler and claimed that the drug menace has become a major issue in Govandi.
""The investigation will be carried out. The DCP has said that he will work on the case. But that is not the issue. In the entire Govandi, from Road no 1 to Road No 14, what is being sold that everyone knows. The accused was a big smuggler, everyone knows that. He had created an entire empire there," Sajid Khan, Joint Secretary Aam Aadmi Party, Mumbai, said in a video posted on X handle of AAP Mumbai.
