Meerut: Class 11 Student Bludgeons Friend To Death For Stealing His Private Photos With Girlfriend

Meerut: A 17-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by his friend after he allegedly transferred private photos and videos of the accused with his girlfriend onto his phone without permission.

In Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district, a Class 11 student was allegedly abducted and killed by his minor friend over a dispute involving private photos and videos. The accused, also a minor, has been detained, according to police.

According to news agency PTI, Kankarkheda Station House Officer (SHO) Vinay Kumar Singh informed that the 17-year-old victim, a resident of Rohta Road, left for his coaching classes on Saturday but did not return. The family, concerned for his safety, attempted to contact him only to find his phone switched off. Upon visiting the coaching centre, they discovered it was closed and subsequently filed a missing person report.

Police questioned the victim's minor friend, who initially provided misleading information. However, during further interrogation, he confessed to the crime and led the police to the victim's body, as per PTI. The body was recovered near a tube well behind Garh Marg, close to a college in Bhavanpur.
