Valuables Worth Rs 47 Lakh Stolen From Professor’s Residence In Mumbai's Malad
The Mumbai police are investigating a burglary at a professor's residence, where assets worth approximately Rs 47 lakhs were stolen. The incident occurred in Malad.

The Mumbai police have launched an investigation after assets valued about Rs 47 lakh were stolen from a professor's residence at a civic-run medical institution, official said on Saturday, PTI reported.
According to the Dindoshi police station officer, the property in the western suburbs' Malad neighbourhood was burgled a few days ago.

On the morning of the bulglary, the family discovered their wardrobes robbed and their back door broken. After checking her cupboard, the professor found that her mother-in-law's and her father-in-law's aunt's gold and diamond ornaments, valued at Rs 47 lakh, were missing.
The official added that, in order to track down the suspects, the police are reviewing the CCTV footage and working on collect more information about the case.
Rs 3.49 Lakh Gold Theft In Vikhroli
Last year in December, a case of alleged theft of gold ornaments worth Rs 3.49 lakh was registered with the Park Site Police, after a Vikhroli doctor, Dr. Nikhil Sunil Pillai (27), suspected his domestic servant, Geeta Vishram Gadge, of stealing gold ornaments, Free Press Journal reported.
According to reports, the incident happened at Dr. Pillai's home in Godrej Hillside Colony, Vikhroli (West), on December 13 between 6:20 PM and 6:45 PM.
The police claim that on December 3, the Pillai family paid Rs 8,850 to Geeta Gadge via kaamwalibais.com for her services. She was responsible for cleaning and taking care of the grandmother.
On December 13, Dr. Pillai saw his gold bracelet on the study table before he and his sister left the house at 5:30 PM. Only Geeta Gadge and the grandmother were home while they were out. When Dr. Pillai arrived later that night at 11:45 PM, he discovered his bracelet had gone from the table. The family looked more closely and found other gold ornaments, two bracelets, two necklaces, and gold earrings, missing from their locker.
The family believed the domestic worker was responsible for the theft based on the timing and circumstances. The Park Site Police launhed an investigation after filing a formal complaint against Geeta Gadge under Section 305(a) of the BNS Act.
