Mahadev Betting App: ED Raids Wedding At Jaipur Hotel, Groom Escapes Leaving Bride Behind
The newlywed bride was questioned at length by the ED in connection with the Mahadev betting app case, as were several family members and guests were present at the wedding.

In a dramatic turn of events, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided a five-star hotel in Jaipur on July 2 in search of Saurabh Ahuja, a key accused in the Mahadev betting app case. Ahuja, who was reportedly getting married at the time, escaped moments before the ED team arrived, sources said.
Acting on a specific input, ED officials learned that the absconding accused had quietly checked into Jaipur’s Fairmont Hotel with his family and was preparing for a low-key wedding. By the time the agency reached the venue—just hours after the ceremony—the groom had already vanished, allegedly tipped off about the impending raid.
Bride Grilled, Three Aides Held
The newlywed bride was questioned at length by the ED, as were several family members and guests present at the wedding. Officials detained three individuals accused of assisting Ahuja and facilitating his escape. All three were taken to Raipur for further interrogation.
The raid created a stir in Jaipur's hotel circuit. Incidentally, the Fairmont Hotel had earlier made headlines when it housed Congress MLAs during a political crisis under former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
This isn't the first ED operation in Jaipur linked to the case. On April 16, the agency had raided the premises of dry fruit trader Bharat Dadhich. Saurabh Ahuja and his family are accused of providing logistical and financial support to the Mahadev betting syndicate, including arranging private aircraft and other amenities for the main accused’s Dubai wedding.
