Kumbhakarna Was Tech Expert, Secretly Made Machines For 6 Months: UP Governor Anandiben Patel — Watch

The Governor said people may not even know in which plane Ravana kidnapped Sita. "Have you ever thought about this?" she asked.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has said that Kumbhakarna, the brother of demon king Ravana in the mythological tale of Ramayana, was a great technocrat. She added that people say Kumbhakarna used to sleep for six months, but it is not true. "Kumbhakaran was a technical expert who used to make machines in his laboratory secretly for six months," Patel said at a convocation ceremony.

She further claimed that Ravana had forbidden him from coming out to keep the technology in the country. The Governor said people may not even know in which plane Ravana kidnapped Sita. "Have you ever thought about this?" she asked at the ninth convocation of Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti Bhasha Vishwavidyalaya on Monday.

She said that our libraries are full of old books of Indian knowledge tradition and asked students to study them. "These books should be translated into different languages so that everyone can know about the rich knowledge of India," Patel added.
