'Visited Red Light Area, Molested...': All Things Kolkata Case Accused Sanjay Roy Did On Night Of Crime — Report
Kolkata doctor death case: Sanjay Roy, the main accused was subjected to polygraph test on Sunday where he gave details of his movement on the night he committed the crime.
The main accused in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata gave details of his timeline on the night he committed the crime. He gave the details of his movement to the Central Bureau of Investigation during an interrogation, reported India Today.
Sanjay Roy, the main accused told the agency that he visited two red-light areas in the city but did not have sex. He also confessed to molesting a woman on the street and asked for nude photos of his girlfriend.
Roy was arrested by the police on August 9 for the rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee medical student in a seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Here is his sequence of events of the night when he committed the alleged crime.
- On August 8, Roy went to RG Kar Hospital with a friend to inquire about the friend's brother, who was admitted there.
- At 11:15 pm, the accused and his friend left the hospital and bought alcohol. The two consumed liquor on the road.
- After that, both the men decided to visit Sonagachi, a red light area in north Kolkata.
- As their search yielded no result in Sonagachi, Roy and his friend travelled to Chetla and on the way molested a girl on the road.
- His friend had sex with a woman in Chetla, a red light area in south Kolkata while Roy stood outside and talked to his girlfriend on video call. He asked his girlfriend for her nude photos which she sent.
- Both returned to the hospital and Roy went to the trauma centre on the fourth floor.
According to the India Today report, the presence of Roy and his friend at all the locations mentioned was established through call data records (CDRs).
It was also reported that a significant amount of pornographic content was found on the accused's mobile phone, including incest videos. Roy was subjected to a lie-detector test on Sunday as part of the probe into the incident.
Former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh and one more person will be subjected to a polygraph test on Monday, reported ANI quoting sources within CBI. Ghosh's layered voice test which is also part of the polygraph test was conducted on Sunday.
