IAF Transport Aircraft Crash-Lands At Bengal's Bagdogra Airport, Crew Safe
A transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crash-landed in West Bengal’s Bagdogra.

A transport aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crash-landed in West Bengal’s Bagdogra on Friday, officials said. The crew of the AN-32 aircraft is safe, and efforts are underway to recover the aircraft from the site, they added, as per news agency PTI.
This comes after an IAF Jaguar aircraft crashed in Haryana’s Panchkula district, with the pilot ejecting safely, a police official said. The aircraft went down in the hilly terrain near Morni Hills, but there was no loss of life or injury reported on the ground.
“The pilot manoeuvred the aircraft away from any habitation before ejecting safely,” said the Station House Officer (SHO) of Raipurrani in Panchkula district while speaking to PTI. Haryana Deputy Commissioner of Police Himadree Kaushik also confirmed that the aircraft crashed in the Raipurrani area of Panchkula.

Ambala Airbase officials, Haryana Police, and other army personnel arrived at the spot where the Jaguar aircraft of the IAF crashed after encountering a system malfunction.

The Jaguar had taken off from Ambala on a routine training sortie. The IAF, in a post on X, stated, “A Jaguar aircraft of the IAF crashed at Ambala, during a routine training sortie today, after encountering system malfunction. The pilot manoeuvred the aircraft away from any habitation on ground, before ejecting safely.”
