Three men stole the motorcycle of a man who had an accident and later died. The men also met with an accident shortly after fleeing with the stolen bike. The police are investigating the incident.
In a horrific tale of human insensitiveness, three men fled with the motorcycle of a man, who met with an accident and later died, after his motorcycle skidded off the road on January 11.
However, in a God's way of showing how Karma hits back, those three men also met with an accident moments after fleeing with the stolen bike.
The deceased was identified as Vikas, who worked as a call centre employee, as reported by The Indian Express. A police officer said that the victim was riding his motorbike, when his vehicle skidded near Ghitorni at around 3 am on January 11. The CCTV footage revealed that after falling from his bike, Vikas lost his consciousness.
Instead of helping the victim, the three men, identified as Uday Kumar, Tinku and Parambir - all from Fatehpur Beri - fled with Vikas' bike. The helpless victim was left on the road, while they drove away. Vikas sustained severe injuries on his head and later succumbed to the injuries, a police officer said.
However, in a turn of events, those men who stole the 2-wheeler, met with an accident shortly at Mehrauli-Badarpur road. The reason attributed for this accident was due to motorbike's poor condition after it got slipped earlier.
"Two PCR calls were received, one from MG Road and one from MB Road. On reaching MG Road, Vikas was found dead. The other three were found injured on MB Road and they were admitted to AIIMS trauma center,” a police official said, as reported by The Indian Express.
While Kumar suffered severe injuries and is in coma, the other two, Tinku and Parambir, received minor injuries.
An investigation from Fatehpur Beri revealed that the accused were seen attempting to steal the bike, as per the CCTV footage.
Currently, the probe is still underway and the police are determining all the available evidence to connect the dots which led to the incident.
