Greater Noida: 19 Injured In Accident As Fog Causes Another Highway Pile-Up On Way To Haryana
A road accident occurred on the Eastern Peripheral Highway in Greater Noida due to dense fog, injuring 19 people. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Fog in Greater Noida: The dense fog cover in northern India has become a major cause for concern for motorists, with regular road accidents. In the latest accident in Greater Noida, dense fog caused a major pile-up on the Eastern Peripheral Highway injuring 19 people on Tuesday. Four vehicles reportedly collided with each other causing the pile-up.
The vehicles were going from Greater Noida towards Haryana. The police sent the injured to the hospital for treatment with the help of an ambulance. Police said low visibility due to fog likely caused the accident and appealed to all vehicle drivers to be cautious. The incident was reported in the Ecotech police station area.

The Greater Noida Police said that the accident occurred on the Eastern Peripheral Highway lane going from Kasna towards Faridabad, in the Ecotech First police station area, due to dense fog. Two trucks and a bus were involved in the accident. First, the two trucks collided with each other and then the bus rammed into one of the vehicles. The passengers on the bus were also injured.
After receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and sent the injured person to the hospital with the help of an ambulance. Apart from this, the vehicles were moved to a safe place. According to police officials, traffic movement was eased out and a probe was launched.
Meanwhile, in Greater Noida, a speeding car went out of control and crashed into the divider. The accident occurred on Saturday, November 18 A nursing student was injured in the incident and was moved to a hospital. But she died during treatment due to injuries to her head. According to the police, the deceased was identified as 30-year-old Angela.
