DU Students From Arunachal Pradesh Face 'Racially Charged' Attack, Urge Govt Action: Video

Two Delhi University students from Arunachal Pradesh were racially abused and assaulted by a group of ten people.

Two students of Delhi University from Arunachal Pradesh have been allegedly subjected to racially charged assault in the national capital.

Nabam Barka and Tadam Debom, both from Arunachal Pradesh were on their way to drop off friends when the incident took place. A group of ten people first hurled racial abuses at the two students.

When the students confronted the hecklers, the situation escalated into a full-blown physical attack, reported News18. The group of perpetrators assaulted the two students who were then rushed to a nearby hospital, where they underwent medical examinations, including a CT scan.

One of the students, Barka took to social media and shared a video narrating their ordeal. He appealed to the Arunachal Pradesh government to step in and ensure that justice is served.

“Look, these people are going to kill us," a student is heard saying in the video as he pans the camera towards a group of men with sticks in their hands.

“All agencies and NGOs of Arunachal in Delhi see how they have tried to kill me today. Ten people beat us up," the injured student says further in the video with blood dripping down his face. “I was attacked on my head and I can’t understand anything," he continues.
