Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray, facing allegations of involvement in Disha Salian's death, has said that he would submit is reply to the claims in court.

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has hit back at the Maharashtra government, accusing it of orchestrating a smear campaign against him. His remarks came just hours after a petition was filed in the Bombay High Court, seeking an FIR against him. The petition was submitted by the father of Disha Salian, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's former manager.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Thackeray firmly denied any wrongdoing and said he would fight the allegations in court. "For the past five years, relentless attempts have been made to tarnish my reputation," he was quoted as saying on Thursday. "If the matter is in court, I will present my case there. My battle will continue, not just for myself, but for the betterment of this country." "They are diverting the issues. We have exposed their issue of Aurangzeb and Hindutva, due to which a minister had to resign," Thackeray added

What Disha Salian's Father Alleged
Nearly five years after the tragic death of Disha Salian, the former manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, her father has approached the Bombay High Court demanding an FIR against Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray and others.
The petition, filed by Satish Salian’s lawyer, Nilesh C Ojha, was submitted on Thursday. Ojha said, "At the time she [Disha Salian] was murdered, there was Uddhav Thackeray government in power in the state. Since his [Uddhav Thackeray's] son, Aaditya Thackeray, was the accused, the corrupt police officials covered up the case."

"After 2.5 years, when [Eknath] Shinde sahab govt came to power, where Fadnavis sahab was the Home Minister. In this matter, we filed a PIL in Sept 2023 stating that FIR should be registered and action should be taken. In December 2023, the Shinde government constituted an SIT in this matter," he said.
Ojha further said: "On January 12, 2024, a written complaint was filed accusing Aaditya Thackeray, Suraj Pancholi and others of gang rape. FIR was not registered for more than one year. The affidavit filed by Aaditya Thackeray stated lies that he was given a clean chit by the CBI in the case. There is also proof that Anil Deshmukh didn't want any action (on Aaditya Thackeray)...."
Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane, who had earlier claimed that Disha Salian was murdered, said on Thursday: "Disha Salian's father named of Aditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea. The court will give directions and an inquiry will be conducted based on that. Our MLA, Ameet Satam, raised this issue in the House today. The entire history was told of how everything happened. This case happened during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, how it was covered up, how CCTV footage was made to disappear, and how pressure was put on doctors. Her father has accused that the post-mortem report was changed. The truth will come out in the court and whoever is guilty of this will definitely be punished."

Shiv Sena (UBT) Reacts
Disha Salian death case, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve says, "I think this matter has gone to the court. We have no idea what he (Disha's father) has said, but Aaditya Thackeray is a mature leader. The Bharatiya Janata Party is conspiring to defame him by putting pressure on him. We don't need to answer to this conspiracy. The court will answer."
Disha Salian And Sushant Singh Rajput’s Deaths
Disha Salian died after a fall from the 14th floor of a high-rise building in Malad, Mumbai, on June 8, 2020. Authorities initially called it an accidental death. Just six days later, on June 14, 2020, Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput, whose work was managed by Salian, was found dead in his Bandra apartment.
While Mumbai Police initially ruled his death as a suicide, the case was later transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a detailed probe after allegations of murder and abetment to suicide came to the fore.
At that time, Satish Salian had stated that he was "completely satisfied" with the police investigation and did not suspect foul play in his daughter’s death. He had even written to the ACP Dilip Yadav of the Malwani division saying claims of links in Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput's deaths as highlighted by the media and public were baseless.
He also said Disha Salian had no connection to any politician.
