Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will be moving the motion in the Legislative Assembly on Thursday, February 27, to choose BJP leader Mohan Singh Bisht as the Deputy Speaker of the House.
BJP leader Anil Kumar Sharma, who won the RK Puram constituency, will move the motion to choose Bisht as the Deputy Speaker of the House. Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Gajender Singh Yadav will second the motion.

Bisht had earlier said that he will utilise his 25-years experience to help operate the House as per the party's expectation if he is appointed the Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker.
"I have an experience of 25 years...I will help operate the House as per the expectations of the party...Women of Delhi formed a BJP Government in Delhi. I express my gratitude to them...This will be the best Vidhan Sabha session of Delhi," he had said.
As many as 21 AAP MLAs, including Leader of Opposition Atishi, were suspended by Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Tuesday for disruptin the inaugural address by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena in the newly-constituted House. The suspended MLAs will not be allowed to participate in the assembly proceedings on February 27 and 28.
Atishi along with other AAP MLAs were protesting against the alleged removal of B R Ambedkar's portrait from the Delhi chief minister's office. They accused the BJP-led government of disrespecting Ambedkar as they raised slogans when the House proceedings began on February 25.
Expressing disappointment over the disruptions, Speaker Gupta said: "When the assembly session began, we hoped that both the ruling party and the opposition would work together for development, as today's discussion was very important."
