On Monday, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 18.6 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average, the weather department said. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 35 degrees Celsius.

The city's air quality worsened on Sunday as effigies of demon king Ravana, his brother Kumbhkarna and son Meghnad laden with firecrackers went up in flames at open grounds during Dussehra celebrations on Saturday.

In a statement, the Commission for Air Quality (CAQM) Sub-Committee reviewed the current air quality and weather forecasts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Indian Institute of Tropical Indian Institute Meteorology (IITM), reported PTI.
