Delhi: 22-Year-Old Woman Injured As 17 Bullet Rounds Fired At Welcome Area Over Monetary Dispute
The crime team collected 17 pieces of evidence, including empty shells, live rounds, and metal fragments. Further investigation is underway.
A 22-year-old woman was injured as around 17 rounds of bullets were fired between two groups over a monetary dispute in northeast Delhi's Welcome area on Saturday evening, according to the Delhi Police. Police stated that they received information about a dispute and gunfire at Z-2 and Raja Market in the Welcome area. Senior Officer ASI Vishal and his team arrived at the scene and found empty bullet casings in the street.
According to news agency ANI, police said upon questioning witnesses and the caller, it was learned that a 22-year-old woman had been injured in the shooting and was admitted to GTB Hospital. The incident reportedly arose due to a money dispute between jeans wholesalers. "Few culprits have been nabbed," ANI reported police as saying.
