The incident happened on December 30, where Ankur Nath at her residence in Janjgir, Champa district, Chhattisgarh, live on Instagram, took the extreme step. However, the horrifying incident came to light only on January 2, as reported by The Times of India.

It is been reported that over a dozen of her followers watched in horror as the girl hanged herself live on the social media. A few locals tried to save her, rushing to her home, however, it was too late.

According to Nai Dunia , Navagarh police station in-charge Bhaskar Sharma said that Ankur Nath, a young woman from Misda village, committed suicide by hanging herself in a room of her house. Before dying, she had gone live on her Instagram ID page, he added.

One of the girl's follower on Instagram told police that she went live on Instagram on December 30, and they were in disbelief to see the girl peparing to hang herself.

The girl was taken to CHC Navagarh hospital by the people. However, the doctor declared her dead. On receiving the information of the incident at the police station, the police made a Panchnama and got the post-mortem of the body done.

The police have seized the mobile phone of the girl and further investigation is underway to determine all the aspects of the case.
