Road Rage Turns Fatal In Bengaluru: Delivery Agent Dead As Car Rams His Bike After High-Speed Chase

An FIR has been registered and two people arrested in connection with this case. The accused have been identified as a bank employee and a friend of his.

A 21-year-old delivery agent was killed in a road-rage incident in northern Bengaluru’s Vidyaranyapura area on Wednesday night, after his bike was rammed by a car driver chasing him down after an argument. The biker sustained severe injuries as he was tossed from his bike by the impact of the crash, leading to his demise.

According to Hindustan Times, an argument had erupted between the biker and the car driver after the two vehicles collided in traffic. The argument escalated, and the car began chasing the bike. An FIR has been registered and two people arrested in connection with this case.

The accused have been identified as a bank employee and a friend of his, The Times of India reported. CCTV footage of the high-speed chase has gone viral.

According to The Times Of India, the deceased was a delivery agent by profession. Initial investigation has revealed that the incident took place between 7.30 pm and 8 pm, when the biker and two of his friends were on a leisurely outing.

The report says that the biker tried to speed to escape the car as it chased him. At one point, when he slowed down at a curve, his friends jumped or fell off the vehicle. When the car finally rammed the bike, only the deceased was on it. The crash tossed him into the air, causing him to hit an electricity pole and a building's compound wall. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet and thus sustained severe head injuries.

Sarjapur Road Rage Incident

The incident comes just days after another road-rage episode in Bengaluru went viral. In the Sarjapur Road area, a miscreant harassed a couple inside their car and broke the windshield after the vehicle allegedly took a turn without the indicator. Desperate screams of the couple, who pled that they had a baby inside the car, went unheard. The incident took place near the 1522 Pub on Sarjapur Road.

The video, initially posted by the X handle Citizens Movement, showed a bike-borne man stopping the car and demanding that the driver step out. When the driver refused to roll down the window, citing the presence of his family, the man began attacking the vehicle. The distressing footage also captured the child's cries from within the car.

Bystanders attempted to intervene, but their efforts were in vain. The situation escalated, leading the couple to eventually reach out to the police for assistance.
