Beautician Stabbed To Death For Resisting Rape In Moving Car In Lucknow; Sister Hurt In Crash; 2 Held

The sister of the victim narrated the ordeal, alleging that the three men tried to sexually assault them and when the victim resisted, "stabbed her in the neck".

A 26-year-old woman working as a beautician was allegedly stabbed to death when she resisted a rape attempt in a moving car in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the case, while one is yet to be nabbed.

How The Incident Unfolded

The beautician was called to wedding to apply henna by a man named Sudhanshu. Three men identified as Ajay, Vikas, and Aadarsh, picked her up along with her sister, in a red car, which was sent by Sudhanshu. They dropped them at the wedding venue, India Today reported.

After finishing their work, the two women departed from the venue with the same men who picked them up earlier in the day to get back home late at night. However, on their way back, the three men allegedly attempted to sexually assault both the deceased and her sister.

"They tried to sexually assault me and my sister in the moving car. When my sister resisted, one of the guys named Ajay stabbed her in her neck," the beautician's sister alleged, as reported by India Today.

Victim's Sistser Narrates Ordeal

The sister of the victim narrated the ordeal, alleging that the three men tried to sexually assault them and when the victim resisted, "stabbed her in the neck".

According to the report, she further claimed that the car they were travelling in crashed into a divider and the overturned, which trapped both women underneath the vehicle. The locals then rushed to the scene to help them when they heard their screams. However, by then, the three suspects had already fled the spot.

Before running away, they allegedly warned the deceased's sister against reporting the incident, threatening to kill her and her entire family.

The beautician's husband has filed a complaint with the Banthra police. A case has been registered by the police and the body sent for a post-mortem examination.

Police have arrested two suspects, Vikas and Aadarsh, while Ajay is still absconding.

The deceased woman is survived by her husband and their three year old son. Further investigations are underway.
