4 Killed, 6 Injured As Van Carrying Maha Kumbh Pilgrims Rams Into Truck In Gujarat's Dahod

At least four people were killed and six others were injured after a van carrying pilgrims from the Maha Kumbh rammed into a truck in Gujarat''s Dahod district. The accident took place on Saturday after the tourist van rammed into a stationary truck on a highway in the district.
The accident occurred around 2.15 am on the Indore-Ahmedabad highway near Limkheda, an official told news agency PTI.
The van carrying ten pilgrims rammed into the truck parked on the other side of the road. The deceased, including a woman, were residents of Ankleshwar in Bharuch district and Dholka in Ahmedabad.
"The pilgrims were returning from the Maha Kumbh. Four persons, including a woman, died on the spot, and six others were injured and taken to a hospital," official said.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Devraj Nakum (49) and his wife Jasuba (47), both Ankleshwar residents, and Sidhraj Dabhi (32) and Ramesh Goswami (47) from Dholka.
The incident comes after 10 devotees were killed after a car collided with bus en route to Maha Kumbh on Friday night. The devotees, residents of Chhattisgarh's Korba, were headed to Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, when the Bolero car they were travelling in had a head-on collision with a bus on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj highway.

Man Returning From Maha Kumbh Dies As Bus Catches Fire
A 33-year-old man from Rajasthan died after a bus he was travelling in while returning from Maha Kumbh caught fire on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in UP's Firozabad district in the early hours of Saturday. Other passengers are safe.
Superintendent of Police (City) Ravi Shankar Prasad told news agency PTI that the passengers had gone to attend the Maha Kumbh. They took a holy dip at the Sangam following which they went to Ayodhya for darshan. They were returning from there when the accident took place.
"Pawan Sharma, from Rajasthan's Nagaur, was among the 52 passengers on board the ill-fated bus," the police said.
