This Company Introduces Annual 'Tinder Leave' For Employees; Details Here

The company made this announcement via a LinkedIn post in August, explaining the reasoning behind this approach and its benefit: “Our employees can use Tinder leave for dating with someone"

Whiteline Group, a marketing agency based in Thailand, has introduced a unique and innovative benefit—paid time off specifically for dating. Known as “Tinder leave,” this initiative allows employees to take paid time off to pursue romantic opportunities, similar to how they would use annual or sick leave. The benefit will be available from July to December 2024 and is accessible to staff who have completed their probation period.

The company made this announcement via a LinkedIn post in August, explaining the reasoning behind this approach and its benefit: “Our employees can use Tinder leave for dating with someone.” Whiteline Group hopes this initiative will promote a healthier work-life balance and enhance personal fulfilment for its employees.

A month ago, an HR professional from the company announced the new leave policy through a post on LinkedIn outlining its conditions and details. "We are giving away 6 months of free Tinder platinum and Tinder gold to our employees and adding new benefits of Tinder leave,” they wrote, sharing pictures from the event.

Whiteline Group employs approximately 200 people at its Bangkok office and has introduced an additional benefit to complement its "Tinder leave" initiative. The company also provides its employees six-month premium subscriptions to Tinder—either Tinder Platinum or Tinder Gold. These premium subscriptions offer enhanced features on the popular dating platform and are part of Whiteline’s broader strategy to assist its staff in forming meaningful connections.

The "Tinder leave" benefit comes with specific conditions. Employees must give one week’s notice before taking advantage of the paid leave. Furthermore, this temporary perk is only available to those who joined the company between July 9 and December 31, 2024.

The initiative was reportedly announced during a company event. This move is part of the company’s effort to enhance work-life balance and promote personal well-being among its workforce.
