UIDAI Extends Last Date To Update Aadhaar Details For Free; Check All The Details Here

UIDAI initially announced that individuals could update their Aadhaar Card details free of charge until March 14, 2024

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced on Tuesday that people can upload documents for free online until June 14, 2024, to update their Aadhaar Card details. This announcement was made on X (formerly known as Twitter), stating, "#UIDAI extends free online document upload facility till 14th June 2024; to benefit millions of Aadhaar holders. This free service is available only on the #myAadhaar portal. UIDAI has been encouraging people to keep documents updated in their #Aadhaar.”

UIDAI initially announced that individuals could update their Aadhaar Card details free of charge until March 14, 2024. However, they have now extended the deadline to June 14, 2024. This marks the second extension of the deadline by UIDAI. It is crucial for people to update their details, particularly if their Aadhaar Card details are outdated and need to be updated or have not been updated in the last 10 years. This can be done on the mAadhaar portal at no cost until June 14, 2024.

One Can Easily Update Aadhar Card With The Latest Details For Free By Following These Simple Steps:

  • Visit the official Aadhaar Card website at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ 
  • Now, log in using the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number.
  • You need to verify if your current documents are correct. If they are, click on the option 'I verify that the above details are correct'. If they are incorrect, follow these next steps to update:
  • Select the type of identity document from the drop-down list given on the website.
  • Upload the selected document in either PNG, JPEG, or PDF format, ensuring it is less than 2 MB in size.
  • Choose the address document from the drop-down list.
  • Upload the address document in either PNG, JPEG, or PDF format, keeping it under 2 MB in size.
  • Click on 'Submit' to confirm your documents.
