Punjab National Bank Doorstep Banking Charges Slashed - Here's How To Get The Cash Delivered

New Delhi: In order to offer ease of transaction to customers during the pandemic, Punjab National Bank (PNB), has reduced the charges of doorstep banking. Now, PNB customers will have to pay only Rs50 to get cash availed through the doorstep banking facility.
PNB informed the customers about the reduction in charges through its tweet on its official handle. "In view of the Pandemic, cash withdrawal service through Doorstep Banking has been reduced to Rs50," PNB tweeted.

It is to be noted that the concession can be availed for the months of May and June 2021. However, the discounted charges are applicable for two cash withdrawals in a month.
Which other banks offer doorstep banking facilities?
State Bank of India (SBI), Union Bank of India (UBI), Bank of Baroda (BOB), Bank of India (BOI), Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and Punjab & Sindh Bank offer doorstep banking services.
What services are offered under the facility?
Under the doorstep banking facility, customers can avail a range of financial services including cash withdrawal using the DSP app or its web portal or by calling a toll-free number. To avail of the service customer's bank account number must be linked to Aadhaar, or an individual can also use his or her bank debit card. The agent will provide service through micro-ATM. The minimum and maximum transaction limits are Rs1,000 and Rs10,000, respectively.
Other services include pick-up services (from customer to branch) like negotiable instruments (cheques/draft/pay order), checkbook requisition slip, 15G/15H forms, IT/GST challans, standing instructions request, and digital life certificate (through Jeevan Pramaan App).
Customers can also avail of delivery services (from branch to customer) like account statement, non-personalized cheque book draft, pay order, term deposit receipt, acknowledgment, TDS/Form 16 certificate issuance, and pre-paid instrument/gift card.
