Delhi's Entrepreneur Shares Journey Of Rs 4.20 Crore Annual Income At 23; Internet Not Impressed

Although his tweet was intended to inspire, it faced significant backlash. Many users accused him of glorifying hustle culture and imposing undue pressure on young people

A Delhi-based entrepreneur sparked considerable debate with a tweet boasting his annual earnings of $500,000 (approximately Rs 4.20 crore) and attributing his success to hard work and sacrifices made during his youth.

In his now-viral post on X (formerly Twitter), 23-year-old Kushal Arora wrote, “I'm 23yrs old earning over $5,00,000 annually. When students of my age were partying & chilling, I was: - Having sleepless nights working - Missing social events - Dealing with failures/rejection - Losing work-life balance but I chose that. Are you building your dream life?”

Arora also shared that he began his professional journey at 14 and now runs a successful marketing firm, KAP Digital.

Although his tweet was intended to inspire, it faced significant backlash. Many users accused him of glorifying hustle culture and imposing undue pressure on young people to measure their worth by financial success.

This exchange has also sparked a broader cultural discussion about hustle culture, financial success, and the effects of such messaging on younger generations. Many question the implications of promoting relentless work and the notion that worth is intrinsically tied to income.

One internet user wrote, “I was partying at that age and now earning more then what you have mentioned. What i want to say is if it is working for you then it doesn’t mean it will work for everyone. Another example Lakhs of players dedicate. there life to play for india but only 11 qualifies.”

“People and their urge to become "motivators". Urgh! No, you did whatever suited you. Could you not push it on others? Let people live their life, the way they want. And just so you know, MANY youtubers/twitchers/podcasters/tiktokers are earning a LOT more than you AND are living their life as well! So you do you! The buck stops there,” wrote another user.

A third user wrote, “If I had this much money and a business I wouldn’t be wasting time talking about it on twitter to taunt others. I’d be travelling and actually experiencing and enjoying life while working. Too busy immersed irl to bother if other people are doing the same. Feel sad for you.”
