Bitcoin (BTC) managed to recover from the losses earlier this week as it rose above the $98,000 mark early Wednesday on Christmas. Other popular altcoins — including the likes of Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC) — landed in the greens as overall Market Fear & Greed Index stood at 62 (Greed) out of 100, as per CoinMarketCap data. Memecoin FARTCOIN became the top gainer, with a 24-hour jump of nearly 63 percent. VIRTUAL was the biggest loser today, with a 24-hour dip of over 6 percent.
The global crypto market cap stood at $3.43 trillion at the time of writing, registering a 24-hour jump of 3.26 percent.
