Coriander Prices Shock Netizens, Zepto Selling The Staple For Rs 141 Per 100 Gm, Blinkit Charging Rs 40

Coriander leaves became a hot topic of discussion this week after some users were shocked at the cost of the cooking staple on online delivery platforms.
A user, @upadhyay_harsh1, on Monday, in a post shared on social media platform X share that coriander leaver or dhaniya was being sold at Rs 141 per 100 gm on Zepto. The user said that the difference between normal and aromatic coriander leaves on the delivery platform was Rs 10.

Questioning the cost, another user, @luffyspeaking shared on the social media platform that another delivery app, Blinkit, was selling the food staple herb at Rs 40 per 100 gm.

As the post went viral, Netizens expressed their shock at the prices of the herb which is generally sold for free in vegetable markets.
While one of the users said that at such high prices, they would rather prefer dry fruits, another pointed out how the delivery platform is claiming to surpass D-Mart soon with such practices.

Meanwhile, Zepto’s customer care responded to the post and explained that the surge in the prices was due to several factors such as premium quality and sustainable practices adopted by the company.
