ABP Budget Conclave | Budget 2021 'Ordinary Budget At Extra Ordinary Times': Congress' Abhishek Manu Singhvi
Member of Indian National Congress, Abhishek Manu Singhvi called the budget “ordinary at extra ordinary times”. He spoke about the need for direct transfer of money into the hands of people so that the economy has a chance to grow, he said “There is no direct fiscal transfer, while every other country has given fiscal direct transfer."
New Delhi: Kicking off the ABP Budget Conclave, Congress' Abhishek Manu Sighvi and Jayant Sinha discussed points of the the Budget 2021 which was presented at the Parliament yesterday by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

According to the Budget 2021, The total budget allocated for healthcare sector is 2.23 lakh crore. This is an increase of 137 per cent from last year. Talking about this, Abhishek Manu Singhvi said “While the thought is nice, the numbers are actually fudged.”
He also added that there was no mention for the salaried class in the new budget, “no tax break not even any tax benefit for the salaried class” and no growth in defense or agriculture.
